Memberships and Affiliations
Gerry has served on a number of municipal, state and private boards and commissions over his career, including vice chairman of the Certificate of Need Board (Hospital and Medical Expenditures); member of the Board of Directors of the Vermont Land Trust; member of the Board of Vermont Life Magazine; and member of the Board of Directors of Prevent Child Abuse Vermont.

He has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Clean Energy Group.

He is Chairman of the Environmental Section of the Vermont Bar Association (2009-present).

Gerry also served as an advisor to the Legislative Commission on Act 250 (Act 47) from 2017-2019.

Personal Interests
Gerry has a strong interest in historic preservation, clean energy technology and the natural environment. Gerry enjoys the outdoors and exploring Vermont and New England with his daughter and their dog.

About Gerry

A graduate of the Marshall Wythe School of Law, College of William & Mary, Gerry founded the firm in 1991 as a full-service law firm following several years working in corporate finance law, Vermont public utility regulatory law, and private practice in Montpelier.

Gerry is the former Commissioner of the Vermont Department of Public Service.  He is the Chair of the Environmental Section of the Vermont Bar Association.  His practice areas emphasize electric and telecommunications law, and include environmental, Act 250, land-use and zoning matters, municipal and non-profit law, corporate, probate and real estate law, administrative law, and trial and appellate proceedings.
